Kites' comeback

One of Britain’s rarest birds of prey, the red kite, is making a comeback in England and Scotland after an absence of a century. Twenty-one red kite chicks were raised this year from a population of about 120 birds introduced from Spain and Sweden, which have been released in southern England and northern Scotland over the past four years.
